The UFCW continued to elevate the voices of our members leading up to the midterm elections this year. Our union voiced concerns about the Kroger-Albertsons merger, celebrated the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, participated in White House and Department of Labor events, and called on Congress to address workplace violence after the tragic mass shooting at a Tops Friendly Markets store in Buffalo, N.Y. Our union also trained members to get out the vote ahead of the midterm elections.
