It’s the time of year when UFCW leadership, staff, and members walk for a good cause. September 6th marks the beginning of Blood Cancer Awareness month–and is a reminder why the partnership between the UFCW and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is so important.
Since 1983, the UFCW has helped raise over $60 million dollars for LLS through charity golf tournaments, auctions, bottle drives, and Light The Night® Walks. All of these efforts contribute to the development of lifesaving drugs and toward the shared goal of a world without blood cancers. Together, UFCW locals across the U.S. and Canada are helping LLS achieve their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma.
Team UFCW t-shirts are now available on the UFCW On-Line Store.
If your Local, Region or Council would like a personalized t-shirt you can contact Lori Richards in the UFCW Communications Department (Lrichards@ufcw.org) or Derek Brom at American Unions (dbrom@ow-usa.com).
Together in this special partnership, LLS and UFCW are truly helping blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.
