Workers at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation’s outpatient offices in southern New Jersey recently joined UFCW Local 152 for a better life. The 13 receptionists and aides work in multiple Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation physical and occupational therapy centers in locations ranging from Toms River to Cape May.
These workers joined our union family because they wanted the same wage increases, paid time off, and other benefits as their unionized colleagues at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation’s main office in Galloway, who are represented by UFCW Local 152. The Bacharach workers in Galloway recently ratified a contract that strengthens wages and benefits, and this contract served as a catalyst for organizing the new unit of Bacharach receptionists and aides.
“It was a pleasure helping these workers achieve their goal to unionize,” said UFCW Local 152 Union Representative Chad Brooks. “I was impressed with their ability to stick together and not be deterred during the course of the campaign.”
