On Jan. 13, workers at Lyle Cleaning Service in Baltimore, Md., joined UFCW Local 27 to stand up for better pay and a stronger voice in the workplace. Together, more than a dozen workers united to join our union family because they were concerned about wages and unfair treatment in the workplace. The workers provide janitorial and cleaning support for businesses across Baltimore.
“It’s a great feeling to know that someone will always have my back in the workplace!” said Lyle Cleaning Service employee Silvia Molina.
“With hard work and diligence, Nelson Hill, Josh Roussey and Alejandro Miranda showed Lyle Cleaning Service employees how they could have a greater voice in their working environment,” said UFCW Local 27 President Jason Chorpenning. “Our newest members made their decision clear with a unanimous vote for union representation.”
