The UFCW Minority Coalition will hold their annual educational conference on Friday, November 7. The conference includes a forum titled “Discussion on Race and Inequality,” and is a response to the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and the role labor has in fighting systemic and institutionalized racism and supporting the economic empowerment of all communities. The discussion will focus on combating racism, empowering communities of color, and offering tools for how to respond to situations like Ferguson.
