UFCW Local 342 utilized #UFCWGrillOutMonth on social media to promote several summer events they hosted this summer. By using social media platforms like their Facebook page to share these events, they were able to quickly spread the word to drive turnout and engage with with members and potential members in their community about the value of UFCW membership.
Some of the great events the local hosted included a backpack-filling BBQ, where they collected school supplies to be donated to schools in the surrounding communities. Any member who donated supplies was be entered to win an American Express Gift card. Afterwards, Local 342 made sure to post photos so members could see how successful the event was.
To recap all of their summer barbecue events, Local 342 also put together a video of all the fun for members to look back on. You can watch the video here.
