About 200 members of UFCW Local 152 who work at Dietz and Watson Logistics in Philadelphia ratified a new contract on Dec. 6. Dietz and Watson Logistics is the warehouse and distribution center for Dietz and Watson, and the company’s products are found in most union retail stores, including hotdogs, deli meats, cheeses, snacks, condiments, and more.

The four-year contract includes an across-the-board wage increase for all members. Third shift and long-term members will also receive additional compensation. Affordable health care benefits for members were also secured.
Through hard bargaining, the negotiating committee secured an increase to the 401(k) savings plan. Earned Time Off was increased, and members will now receive all their earned time on January 1, rather than waiting for their anniversary date.
With the new contract, Shop Stewards will now have a paid “Steward Day,” providing them with an opportunity to attend trainings or other union business with the intention of advancing their union expertise. Funeral leave was also expanded.
In addition to Dietz and Watson Logistics, UFCW Local 152 also represents workers at the neighboring Dietz and Watson plant in Philadelphia.
