UFCW Local 400 members working at Solenis (formerly Clearon) in Charleston, W. Va., ratified new contracts on Dec. 10. Solenis is a leading manufacturer of chlorinated dry bleach tablets used in an array of applications, including water treatment, disinfection, and sanitization.
The three-year agreements cover a total of 53 workers in the Production, Maintenance and Shipping Departments and Laboratory and Storeroom Technicians. The contracts include a 9 percent average wage increase over the life of the agreements.
“Congratulations to our members at Solenis on winning a strong, new contract,” said UFCW Local 400 President Mark Federici. “On top of wage increases, the new contracts have no concessions and build on top of previously established high standards.”
