This year, the UFCW will continue to highlight pay disparities for women beginning with Women’s Equal Pay Day on Tuesday, March 25.

Women’s Equal Pay Day denotes how far into the new year women must work to be paid what men were paid the previous year. Women working full-time and year-round are paid 83 cents for every dollar paid to men who work full-time and year-round, and women in the “all earners” category, including those who have part-time and seasonal jobs, are paid 75 cents for every dollar paid to men. The wage gap is even greater for women of color.
Here are the Equal Pay Day dates for 2025:
April 7: Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Women’s Equal Pay Day
May 6: Mom’s Equal Pay Day
June 17: LGBTQIA+ Equal Pay Awareness Day
July 10: Black Women’s Equal Pay Day
August 28: Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Women’s Equal Pay Day
Oct. 8: Latina Equal Pay Day
Oct. 23: Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day
Nov. 18: Native Women’s Equal Pay Day
Women’s Equal Pay Day serves as a reminder that women still face significant pay disparities and more needs to be done to achieve equal pay for equal work. Please join us as we continue to advocate for equal pay for equal work on March 25!
If your local is advocating for equal pay and better wages during Equal Pay Days, please share that information with Julie Anderson at janderson@ufcw.org.
