On August 12, workers at a CVS store in Tustin, Calif., joined UFCW Local 324 for the better wages and benefits that come from being a member of our union family. The 14 workers are employed as clerks, shift supervisors, and pharmacy and pharmacy lead technicians.
These workers joined our union family because they were concerned about insufficient working conditions, including low wages and not enough hours, and wanted a voice in the workplace.
“We are excited and extremely proud that workers are showing strength by coming together for change,” said UFCW Local 324 President Andrea Zinder. “It’s important that essential workers who have been helping our communities with medications and supplies get the protections they deserve. We look forward to assisting other CVS workers who want to improve the workplace with a voice on the job.”
These workers join their CVS colleagues in Ontario, Calif., who recently voted to become members of UFCW Local 1428. The UFCW represents over 12,000 CVS workers nationwide.
