The International’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Office is offering CPR and First Aid training sessions to help locals respond quickly and effectively to emergency medical situations.

The OSH Office recently held CPR and First Aid training sessions for staff and members from UFCW Locals 324, 1167 and 1428. The classes offer different scenarios, skills, and hands-on training to teach the local staff and members the proper techniques to use during medical emergencies.
Members at the three trainings appreciated the time that was taken to provide them with these vital life saving techniques. A UFCW Local 1428 member expressed gratitude for the opportunity to attend training, and said the ability to respond to emergencies was going to help her in her new position.

All locals are encouraged to participate in these training sessions. For more information, contact OSH Office Director Roy McAllister at rmcallister@ufcw.org.
