Members of UFCW Locals 175 and 633 who work at the Cargill London and Cargill Ingersoll poultry processing facilities in the city of London in Ontario, Canada, recently ratified a new contract.

Highlights of the five-year contract include wage increases, dental benefit improvements, paramedical benefit improvements, an increased footwear allowance, improved bereavement language, and more.
With this contact, the Ingersoll facility is now entitled to the enhanced severance package, a significant achievement for these workers. There is now language to ensure the employer cannot schedule break times less than 1.75 hours prior to the start of their shift, and the representation has been increased for the negotiating committee to include the Ingersoll facility.
“Our members at Cargill work difficult, taxing jobs, and are part of a vital supply chain that keeps food on the table for families every day,” said President of UFCW Local 175 Kelly Tosato. “The agreement ratified at our London and Ingersoll plants will provide solid wage and other monetary increases, as well as language improvements that these members were determined to achieve.”
