RWDSU/UFCW members who work at Prairie Farms in Fort Wayne, Ind., recently ratified a new contract. These workers process Prairie Farms dairy brands, including milk, butter, cottage cheese and other products.

Highlights of the new four-year contract include:
- Historic wage increases of more than 24 percent over four years.
- No additional increases to medical costs for workers and their families.
- Double-time pay on holidays.
- Improved vacation benefits.
These gains are particularly critical at a time when workers everywhere are struggling with the rising cost of living. With inflation driving up the price of food, housing, and everyday necessities, significant wage increases like these ensure Prairie Farms workers and their families can better keep up and move forward.
“This contract is a testament to the strength of the committee and the solidarity of the members,” said Geoff Stinson, president of the RWDSU/UFCW Indiana Joint Board. “At a time when workers faced tremendous uncertainty, they stood together and won real improvements that will make a difference in their lives.”
