The UFCW is encouraging PetSmart customers and workers to take a stand by signing a petition asking PetSmart to stop putting profits over the people who help make their success possible.

While the UFCW’s PetSmart campaign has organized PetSmart workers in Mishawaka, Ind.; Midland, Texas; and East Hartford, Conn., the multi-billion-dollar investment firm that owns PetSmart has been cutting jobs held by some of their most senior workers and making them apply for newly created positions with more responsibilities and less pay.
These layoffs and demotions are an insult to PetSmart associates and groomers who work hard to provide the service and expertise our animal family members deserve. In spite of these obstacles, PetSmart workers are standing strong. They’re fighting for a workplace that values employees, customers, and the animals they care for every day.
Join us in our fight against these callous layoffs and demotions at PetSmart. Add your name to the petition and help send a clear message: Treat PetSmart workers with the respect they deserve.
