About 429 members of UFCW Local 400 who are employed as pharmacists at CVS stores in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia recently ratified a new contract that includes record wage hikes.

The four-year contract, which took effect retroactively on March 25, 2025, provides for wage increases ranging from 9 percent to 15 percent over the life of the agreement. In addition, UFCW Local 400 secured an agreement from CVS to provide 30 days’ notification of any store openings or closings, and won stronger labor-management cooperation.
“This is a great victory for UFCW Local 400 pharmacists,” said UFCW Local 400 President Mark Federici. “They stood together in solidarity and, as a result, won pay increases that better reflect the invaluable services they provide to enhance their customers’ health and the enormous value they add to CVS as a company.”
