Over 80 members of UFCW Local 152 who work at the Bishop McCarthy Center for Rehabilitation in Vineland, N.J., ratified a new contract on Oct. 23. These members are employed as certified nursing assistants, and work in the maintenance, activities, dietary, and housekeeping departments, and more.
The three-year agreement preserves affordable health care for the membership and raises wages. Everyone with at least six months of service will receive a 3.5 percent general wage increase annually, retroactive to July 2024. A tiered, one-time longevity adjustment was implemented, rewarding members with at least five years of service with additional compensation on top of their base salary.
Finally, the company agreed to lower the service length needed to accrue vacation days, providing our members with a better work-life balance.
