On April 17, members of UFCW Local 1445 who work at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough, Mass., ratified a new contract that strengthens wages and benefits.
The three-year contract includes $1.00 per hour wage increases during each year of the contract; increases on differential pay for certified nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses and other classifications; and a freeze in health care increases for two years. The contract also includes an increase in the employer contribution to the members’ 401(k) plan and an extra floating holiday.
“After a long fought contract battle, we made some significant gains at the table that will help our health care members combat the cost of living crisis and continue to receive quality affordable health insurance,” said UFCW Local 1445 President Fernando Lemus. “I want to congratulate the bargaining committee on a job well done at the negotiations table, and to the workers for sticking together throughout the process.”
