CVS Workers in California Continue to Join UFCW

On Sept. 15, pharmacy technicians and store associates at a CVS store in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., joined UFCW Local 324 for a better life.  The 18 CVS workers joined our union family because they were concerned about insufficient wages and staffing, as well as workplace safety issues during the pandemic.

These hard-working men and women are the second unit of CVS workers in Orange County to join UFCW Local 324 this summer. Their CVS colleagues in Tustin joined the local union in August. The UFCW represents over 12,000 CVS workers nationwide.

“This is another victory for workers who bravely stepped up and remained strong in their organizing efforts,” said UFCW Local 324 President Andrea Zinder. “These essential workers want a say in their workplace for improvements in safety, staffing and benefits. They’ve been on the front lines of the pandemic under stressful times and deserve respect on the job.”
