On Nov. 14, more than 200 Zara workers at four stores in New Jersey joined UFCW Local 888 to ensure these jobs continue to be good jobs that help hard-working families build a better life.
The new members of UFCW Local 888, who work at Zara stores in Paramus, Jersey City, Wayne, and Edison, wanted to join our union family because of the UFCW’s leadership as the top union in the country representing retail workers. Thanks to the UFCW’s long track record of protecting and strengthening retail jobs, organizers were able to connect with these workers about the most important issues they face every day at their workplace.
“This is a significant victory for all retail workers in New Jersey,” said UFCW Local 888 President Max Bruny. “By uniting and forming a union, Zara workers in Paramus, Edison, Wayne, and Jersey City are determined to have a strong voice. We welcome them with open arms to the UFCW Local 888 family.”
