With New Members, Safeway Store in Colorado Is Now Wall-to-Wall Union

Thirteen workers in the meat, seafood and deli departments at the Safeway store in Montrose, Colorado, voted to join UFCW Local 7 on July 27. The store in Montrose is now wall-to-wall union.

The workers decided to join their colleagues for a voice in the workplace because they wanted the better health insurance the union provides instead of the company’s plan. Others were tired of mistreatment from upper management.

UFCW Local 7 welcomes these new members and is proud of the fact that the all the workers at this store are now part of our union family.
