Region 2 kicked off their summer intern program on June 4 to introduce a new generation to the UFCW and cultivate new union leaders and activists. Thirteen interns are participating in the six-week program and are interning at UFCW Locals 27, 38, 400, 1208, 1776 and 1994 to learn about organizing and how to engage union and nonunion members. The interns are also learning about the value unions bring to hard-working families.
