Members of UFCW Local 21 who work at laundry plants for Aramark in Washington state overwhelmingly ratified a new contract on Sept. 22 and 23. Approximately 175 Local 21 members work at the Aramark linen service facilities in Everett, Tacoma and Kent. Their new contract includes important benefits to help them get the better life they deserve, including three years of guaranteed raises and two years of bonuses; limits on increases in health care premiums; and improved sick, holiday and vacation language.

“We were able to bargain a good contract that benefits all of us,” said Emilia Ortega, a worker at the Everett plant who was a member of the bargaining team.
