Over 70 workers at two Zara stores in Boston and Natick, Mass., recently joined UFCW Local 1445 for a better life.

These workers joined our union family because they were concerned about insufficient staffing, workplace safety, and scheduling issues. They also wanted a stronger voice in the workplace like their unionized colleagues in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, who are represented by UFCW Locals 888, 919 and RWDSU/UFCW Local 1102.
“We are happy at Local 1445 to re-energize clothing retail workers, especially young workers forming their own union,” said UFCW Local 1445 President Fernando Lemus.
