Approximately 280 workers at Denver Processing are covered by the three-year agreement, negotiated by UFCW Local 7 last month. JBS owns the plant, and the workers in the unit cut, process, wrap, and inspect meat for distribution to Kroger-owned stores in the state, including King Soopers and City Market.
In addition to across-the-board wage increases, the contract also calls for:
- Retroactive pay (dating back to September 2025)
- Three defined pay increases over the life of the contract
- Ratification bonuses
- Expanded dental, vision, and life insurance benefits
- Improved vacation allotment
- Increased pension contributions
- Standardized break schedules
Organizer Natalia Gonzalez emphasized that solidarity was key to the workers’ win. “This contract didn’t happen because management decided to be generous—it happened because every worker on the floor showed up, spoke up, and stayed united,” she said. “Ratifying this contract is a victory for UFCW Local 7 members, and it sends a clear message: when workers stand together and fight, we win.”
