Members of UFCW Locals 186D and 8-GS who work at three E & J Gallo wineries in Modesto, Livingston and Fresno, Calif., recently ratified a new contract. E & J Gallo Winery is the leading provider of California wines in select markets around the world.

The four-year contract includes immediate wage increases in addition to yearly wage increases. The contract also includes increases in shift bonuses and maintains affordable health insurance for members. The bargaining committee was also able to secure wage protections and double the amount of attendance bonuses per year.

“When we stand together, we win,” said UFCW Local 186D President Dee Chacon. “The bargaining committee heard the members’ concerns loud and clear and did a great job to help facilitate a great contract that will improve lives. Union strong!”
“This agreement is a direct result of our members’ commitment and determination through the bargaining process,” said UFCW Local 8-GS President Jacques Loveall. “By standing together, members secured meaningful improvements and long-term protections which reflect the essential role they play at Gallo. Our strength and unity have proven once again, solidarity works!”
