UFCW Locals Give Back to Their Communities During the Holidays

UFCW locals made the holidays a little brighter in communities across the country.

UFCW Local 2013 members who work at Restaurant Depot collected 1,300 pounds of food and 100 toys for children in their communities. With the help of Village ShopRite in Somers Point, New Jersey, UFCW Local 152 distributed holiday food “baskets” to those in need, and UFCW 951 gave away 30 $100 gift cards to 30 members across the state of Michigan during the holidays. In St. Louis, UFCW Local 655 donated toys to the 78th District’s Holiday Toy Drive, and UFCW Local 663 passed out gifts to children at its 9th annual Breakfast With Santa in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

RWDSU / UFCW Local 330 was a key sponsor of the 26th “Ho Ho Ho” 5 kilometer run in Bethpage, New York. All proceeds from the run went to The Opening Word, a program run by the Dominican sisters to each English and other skills to immigrant women.
